A rich French couple in their mid 30’s live a conventional, quiet, bourgeois life in Hong Kong. One night, as they are driving back home, they witness a woman being assaulted, and they decide to drive away. This event will bring to the surface truths about each other that will lead to a dramatic conclusion.
ABOUT:
Sequellles (Wounded) is an experimental attempt to tell a story exclusively using one character’s point of view. Hence the film is shot and edited through the eyes of the husband, immersing the spectator in a very personal reality, and unique complex perception of the events. The wife, whose character is beautifully carried by Ana Girardot’s performance, deeply struggles with the feelings of guilt and despair that overwhelms her, leading her to an identity crisis: how much has this life corrupted her? And to what extend?
Sequelles offers a unique experience of traumatic event dealt in the intimacy of a couple, when life suddenly drew them out of their illusory world and put them to a brutal real test, that they fail miserably
